Curse of the Sea Rats is a premium action game for PC by developer Petoons Studio. It's a 2D side-scrolling adventure title taking inspiration from the popular Metroidvania sub-genre. In it, a crew of sailors looking to lift the curse of a notorious pirate witch who turned them into rats.

Just like Hollow Knight or Have a Nice Death, Curse of the Sea Rats boasts a beautiful hand-drawn art style and graphics. It takes players on a journey through a labyrinthian world on land and sea, with hundreds of interconnected pathways to explore. 

Sea rats unite

Curse of the Sea Rats revolves around the adventures of four prisoners of the British empire who get transformed into rats by the curse of the notorious pirate witch, Flora Burn. In order to regain their human form, they will go on an epic journey through the Irish coast to capture the dastardly sorceress and have her lift their cursed affliction.

Choose among David Douglas, Buffalo Calf, Bussa, and Akane Yamakawa to control as you start your journey in this game. Play solo or local co-op with three other friends to help you out. Level them up to boost their stats and unlock each of their unique skill trees to utilize new abilities in the fight against deadly creatures and bosses.

Shipwrecked during the 18th-century Irish coast with no one to call for help, you must rely on your skills and traverse the dangerous landscape in your quest to hunt down Flora Burn. Meet a cast of characters along the way, discover the secrets, and unlock multiple endings. This game has a nonlinear world, filled with action platforming that you’ll surely enjoy.
